About Us

The Fayette Flyers of Georgia is an AMA sanctioned Radio Control model airplane club (charter 1867) currently of over 90 members. We enjoy all areas of model aviation and welcome anyone interested in pursuing their dreams of RC flight. We are a diverse group who are actively engaged in training. Join our Club and learn to fly.

Our club has 5 AMA National champions in Electric and Pure Sailplane. We also have a few (though they will never tell) that still have a little to learn, age is no boundary, making this a wonderfully fun group of people to be with.

We are the originators and sponsors of SEFF, the largest Electric Flight Festival in the region, and visited by people from across the nation and several foreign countries.

With this community co-mingled group comes a return with active community service. Each year the Fayette Flyers make a charitable donation voted upon by it's members.

Our field has a 400-foot long geotextile primary runway and a parallel Bermuda grass runway to accomodate aircraft large and small. We have a 12-volt/24-volt battery charger station for electric powered aircraft and a large covered area for spectators to relax in.

Club meetings are held at 4:00pm on the last Sunday afternoon of each month. Visitors welcome!

Come out for a visit and say hello. Saturdays and Sundays are your best bet for flying action. If the gate is open, someone is flying!
