Meeting at Lafayette School in Fayetteville

24 members in attendance> offer anything free and they turn out.

Treasure report issued by David Keller, we are in good standing and anyone wishing to see the club asset sheet can talk to David in person, the best way is to attend a meeting.

VP Ernie Schlumberger, nothing to report.

Pres Tommy Vinci, nothing to report.

Secretary Randy Hawkins mentioned the updating of and emailing of the Club Roster. Also the AMA website roster and that it is now up to date and aligned with current members and club family members showing current AMA membership. Anyone missing is due to NOT being current AMA or not submitting a club membership sheet to the secretary. One know name is Ross Prior who reported, joined but did not turn in a sheet, no info is know of him at this time other than he was a prior member. ROSS email me please if you see this.

Announcements about the coming Christmas party to be held Dec 6th at the CAF hangar as last year, Emails will go out for volunteers to help 1st week of November. Please be thinking about pitching in.

Old Business: The field was sanded and most holes filled and leveled. The grass is already growing in and the runway is getting very smooth. If you make a divot fill it in or if you see a hole that needs to be filled fill it in. discussion was help about getting a steam roller and rolling the field, the excessive rain is curtailing that until we have a solid surface so we don’t make ruts and things worse that we have now.

Name tags for club members was also talked about, we are reviewing types and costs for a small name and AMA number pin on type name tag.

New business: A discussion took place about the monthly meeting interval. After deliberation the topic was shelved for later. The thoughts are, no new info comes out in a routine fashion until SEFF gears up. The duration and time of the meetings are inconvenient to some. We communicate by email or phones.

A street sign was discussed to mark the entrance for people that are hunting the turn on Hwy. 74. A small sign is being developed that will trigger the turn without being obtrusive on the property.

Stan McCullough asked for the club to make a small donation to a school Robotics program contest event help each year nation wide similar to the Science Olympiad. It was voted on and a $250. donation was made. A link was added to the left sidebar on the web site for the event.

We bought a memorial Brick with the Fayette Flyers on it for the new PTC veterans memorial at the Falcon field entrance. This was also voted on by the club.

Ernie brought into discussion of making a donation to a local soldier injured in Afghanistan named Lt. Daniel Berschinski. After a long discussion we tabled the subject until we had more info. It will be discussed at the Oct. meeting again.
