Meeting Minutes for September 25, 2003 by Ernie Schlumberger

President, Tommy Vinci brought the meeting to order at 7:35p.m. at our field with 20 members and 1 membership applicant in attendance.

Officer Reports:

New Member/Training Officer, David Keller brought up the need to get the medical kit installed at our new field location. It was decided to mount it on the pole that holds our frequency board.

Treasurer, Dave Zeigler went over the Finance Report for September. The club had no income this month and had expenses totaling $117.95 from Porta Potty and Postage.

Secretary, Ernie Schlumberger reported the membership numbers have remained at 131 for several months.

President, Tommy Vinci repeated the need for a Christmas Party Coordinator to handle the details for this year’s party or the party would be cancelled. He also said we needed someone to head up the moving of the shed from our old field to the new field. Jim Beck volunteered to head that up.

SEFF Event Coordinator, Jeff Meyers reported the items discussed by the Planning Committee at its first meeting held prior to this club meeting. Jeff reported that Mac Hodges said that SEFF 2003 was the largest event ever held at his field. The committee discussed setting a date for next year and picking a location to hold SEFF 2004. The committee proposed June 18-20th and to hold it at Mac Hodges Field again next year. The proposals were given to the members for a vote and no objections were made. The Ga. Jets field was discussed as an alternate site, but that field is still not ready to fly at so it will be looked at again next year for 2005. The next SEFF planning meeting will be at the High School at 6:00p.m. the night of the next club meeting.
