Meeting location:  Our Flying Field                           Members present:  9

Start time:  7:05 PM                                                    Member applicants/guests:  4/0

Officer Reports:

Treasurer report-David Keller went over the March financial report which included some expenses for repairing a John Deere lawn tractor that was donated to the club for cutting the field.  It’s like new now.

Secretary-Ernie Schlumberger reported that the club has 48 members and 4 membership applicants at the meeting ready to join.

Vice President-Randy Hawkins went over the 2008 calendar of events.  He also talked about rescheduling the club work day as part of our next event in April.  We would work in the morning of Saturday April 19th and then fly for the afternoon.

SEFF Event Coordinator-Jeff Meyers gave us a SEFF update.  He said we were at about 200 pre-registered pilots and only 2 vendor tables left.  He scheduled the next SEFF staff meeting for Sunday April 20th at his house.  He ordered 400 T-shirts for the event.  Jeff said that the SEFF beer would be bottled this weekend (March 30) at his house from 1-4PM and any help would be welcomed.

Old Business: None.

New Business: Randy Hawkins told us about a friend’s father who passed  away U.S.A.F. Colonel Jim Welch now buried at Arlington. His family of aviators donated his John Deere lawn tractor to our club for cutting the field.   It is stored in our shed for members to use to cut the grass as needed. We would like to thank the Welch family for sharing this with us.

New Members: We had 4 new members join our club this month.  Please welcome Michael Nowatkowski, Richard Welsh, Tim Dunn and John Stewart to the Fayette Flyers.

Broken Prop Award:  Again, none this month.
